As much as I hate that I put this comic on hold, yet again, I am proud to say it is to improve the quality of work and to present a definitive art style and grounded reading experience going forward. Up to this point, Wild Pack has solely been created digitally via Photoshop, scanning rough pages and competing the rest on the program. The outcome is not to my sanctification. I couldn't continue to feel like this and decide a new approach.
After much experimentation I will now be transitioning into traditional inking with digital coloring. I never thought I would do this as I always feared I wouldn't measure up technically, but I am energized with this method. That's the most important thing. I am grateful for those that have been invested in Wild Pack, you all deserve the best I can provide; and that's what I'll do! Even if it takes more time. I hope you all can understand, take care.

This is a fairly new Comic Convention, but according to Artist I've spoken with, they expressed the show runners are definitely making strides to gain public traction with known voice actors and comic artist attending panels. Additionally, exhibitors may receive discounted services such as printing or manufacturing goods. On many fronts I was impressed with the care and attention to detail in their web presence. Such as, weather updates or changes to schedules. The team was forthright and updated constantly via web page and social media. Comic Con Revolution is a fantastic start if you are interested in selling your goods for the first time. The crowds are mid-sized and will give you clear feedback on your work, and were you can improve on. Prices for tables are also mid-ranged, typical large scale conventions are priced at $500-$1000, but the price at Comic Revolution is $250. The spacious and clean Ontario convention Center, the friendly staff, and their dedication to improve guarantees I will exhibit here next year. |
I first want to thank my readers for being incredibly supportive and patient during my hiatus on Wild Pack. It's been radio silent here for some time as I have never constituted my healing progress or WIP as a worthy update. But that's were my fault lies.
I took a 3 month hiatus for my hand to heal. Over an extensive period of time, without realizing, I developed Arthritis or "Degenerative Arthritis", causing inflammation and pain though my joints. It killed me to be away so long from drawing and being less-involved with readers.
With more insight on how to manage my pain and taking frequent breaks from drawing, Wild Pack will resume on May 20th! Until then, i'll be preparing for Comic Con Revolution's Artist Alley.

I wish I was like Archer and didn't think about my mortality. About a month ago I rolled my ankle like an idiot down one step, which is still swollen today (that's normal right?). Around the same time I was experiencing major pain in my dominant hand. Not much of a surprise there, because of the constant drawing that I do. I'm starting to develop signs of Degenerative Arthritis also known as Osteoarthritis, which sounds worse then it actually is, but left untreated it can definitely be painful. Having all this happen made me realize though, that humans are fragile. A few weeks back I announced a hiatus on Wild Pack due to these very injuries. I'm not gonna lie, it worried me that I wouldn't be as consistent with my series or be able draw as long as I use to. In light of my injuries I have been very tentative about the amount I draw, and my time spent drawing so not cause further damage. But it's time to get back on the horse, and just be mindful moving forward. I feel a more in-depth post about managing Degenerative Arthritis is in order, but for now | I wanted to update you guys, let you know I'm excited to share were Wild Pack is going and have been creating art behind the scenes that I will reveal at the end of the week. Thank you for your patience, everyone. Take care of yourselves folks. |
Hey folks,
I hope you're enjoying the season as much as I am. There's nothing like listening to classic horror movie, feeling the fresh breeze, and enjoying a slice of pumpkin pie to get me in the mood to drawing.
